The Legacy Audio Deco at $4,500 per pair takes a different approach to wall-mounted audio. Where the Silhouette and Pixel prioritize minimal depth, the Deco uses an angled cabinet design that directs sound toward the listening position, solving one of the fundamental challenges of wall-mounted speakers: getting the sound aimed where you're sitting rather than projecting straight out into the room.
The angled enclosure houses a 1-inch AMT folded ribbon tweeter and an 8-inch Silver/Graphite woven-diaphragm woofer in a two-way configuration. The larger woofer gives the Deco more bass authority than the Pixel On-Wall, with usable response down to 55Hz, while the AMT tweeter provides the high-frequency detail and air that ties the Deco sonically to Legacy's floorstanding lineup.
The Deco's angled cabinet is its defining feature. In many wall-mount applications (above a fireplace, flanking a hallway, in a home gym, or mounted high on a wall in a vaulted room), a speaker that fires straight forward sends its sound over the listeners' heads. The Deco's downward-angled baffle aims the tweeter's output toward seated or standing positions below the speaker, dramatically improving the high-frequency clarity and imaging compared to flat-mounted alternatives.
