The Legacy Audio i·V3 at $5,000 provides three channels of 610-watt ICEedge amplification, the natural choice for driving a home theater's front three speakers from a single chassis. Left, center, and right channels powered by identical amplifier modules ensure tonal consistency across the front soundstage, which is critical when dialogue and on-screen effects pan between speakers.
The three-channel configuration is the most common in home theater amplification because it addresses the front stage where the majority of audio content is directed. Surround and height channels can be handled by additional i·V amplifiers as the system grows, but the front three channels deserve matched amplification from day one.
Many Legacy clients start with a 3.1 system (three front channels plus a subwoofer) and expand into full surround over time. The i·V3 is the ideal starting amplifier for this approach. When surround speakers are added later, an i·V2 or i·V4 handles the new channels while the i·V3 continues driving the front stage. The shared ICEedge platform ensures sonic consistency as the system grows.
At 30 pounds with 750 damping factor and 38 amps of peak current per channel, the i·V3 has the authority to drive Legacy's most demanding passive speakers. Whether powering Focus SEs, Classic HDs, or a Marquis center channel, each channel delivers clean, controlled power with the dynamic headroom that movie soundtracks and concert recordings demand.
